Idyllic Cotswold bed and breakfast located on the edge of Minchinhampton Common near the historic towns of Nailsworth, Stroud, Tetbury and Cirencester.

With stunning views of Box Village, Gatcombe Park and Minchinhampton Common, Beechdene is a delightful and central base from which to explore the southern Cotswold countryside, by car, on foot, or cycling, or for the serious purpose of golfing. However, your own private transport is essential.

Box is a quiet village with no through traffic and the perfect place to escape the rat-race and unwind. The nearby town of Nailsworth has a variety of boutique shops and eateries, catering for every need. There are a number of good pubs serving food within an envigorating walking distance.

Beechdene, literally off the beaten track, is the perfect retreat for a relaxing break, and within reach of Bath, Cheltenham, Cirencester and the wider west-country. We are easily accessible from the M4 and M5 via the A46 and A419, and very happy to provide guidance for those visitors who wish to discover Britain or explore the Cotswolds.

The house has been extensively renovated, with modern fittings throughout, including WiFi and modern television in all rooms. We offer a twin bedroom suite, double bedroom and a private lounge area which overlooks the terrace, and enjoys beautiful views over the village and its valley. Guests are welcome to breakfast on the terrace, under the veranda in the summer months.

We are a small friendly B&B in the Cotswolds and  believe in offering clean comfort in style, with good food.

Overseas Visitors

For overseas visitors, we are happy to provide close guidance on day tours, and recommendations on where to eat. Box Village Bed and Breakfast extends a warm welcome to guests from around the globe.

Below is a poem sent in to us from a Korean friend, with the english translation:

Box Village B and B Korean Poem

Rather than becoming that high towering mountain
I wish to become this climbable hill
Rather than only lighting up my own path
If I could light up another’s path
As I sing and as I speak
To live as such is how I wish to die
Even in a fragment of my life I wish to embrace Him
Love, I wish to follow that high path
Wish to follow that deep path
